So much of my daily activity can easily become all about hurry and tension. I've got to get the kids to school and there are meetings to attend, obligations to fulfill. Furthermore, when I look closely, I’m sometimes amazed at the immediacy of judgments and
certainties that my mind has about everything it encounters. Frankly, I don’t want to be limited by this crystallized way of moving through the world. It’s like being on autopilot, and it cuts me off from the naturally vibrant energy that’s available at all times. It makes me think I’m living my life, but I’m not actually tasting it!
Breema helps me step away from the world of thoughts and judgments and gives me real support to simply hear a friend talking or know that there is a body here breathing. Working with the bodywork and 9 Principles encourages me to be playful with whatever I may be doing, because there is only this moment. Where else can I be?
The bodywork and self-bodywork are incredibly beautiful to see, because they express true balance, a tangible support between two bodies that is mutual. Giver and receiver can even experience that completely mutual support is Unity. When we taste this, we can know for ourselves that there is a harmony that cannot be disturbed, and everything is included in that. Then when we find ourselves hurried or tense, we know that we don’t have to go along with this, but can instead come back to the body as we’ve learned from our own experience. In fact, there is always something we can do to take a step in the direction of harmony.
Each Breema treatment I give, or class I teach is such a gift, because I get to be a student, and that’s my aim. My mind already thinks it knows so much, but how refreshing it is to let go of all of that and be simple so that a deeper knowing can emerge. I hope you enjoy this website, and invite you to join in on a class or to schedule a treatment if it seems right for you.
